La soustraction des fleurs

revisited traditional musics

Founded 20 years ago by french fiddler Jean-François, with musical background that can be found in the oral folk tradition of massif-central, La soustraction des fleurs trio occupies a unique place in the french music landscape.
Even though its roots lie deep in french oral tradition, its foliage is one of exploration, composition and improvisation. In their latest production, Cérémonial Pollen, the trio invents a ‘one-men band band’!
The three musicians imagine and invent new possbilites of instrument extension for each of their set up, all binded by textual fragments borrowed to a few great narrative and litteral traditions. Surprising, virtuoso and unique !
