When you asked french singer Barbara about her ideas, she always answered : ‘Have you listen to my songs ? What I say in my songs is what I think’. Miz. B, asexual character, gender-neutral creature, draw their inspiration from telling their lifestory through their songs, backed by Mr.G, renowned pianist. Singing to tell, to feel, not to forget.
At first sight, no particuliar dramaturgical thread. Rather an avalanche of unrelated stories. Although. Under light and frivolous acting, the duo poses deep questions : acceptation of violence, relationship struggles, original sin, silent male domination, to be alone while wathcing others… We then flip through love lifestories. On oneself. Of antoher. Of others.
Accompagnied by authors (M. Chollet, V. Despentes, W. Delorme, E. Louis) and musicians (from Ginette to Serge Gainsbourg via Stromae) Miz. G & Mr. G offer a show in which we sing, we cry, we laugh (a lot) and we drink. A fantastic life sharing moment.
