Resulting from several improvised encounterings, Meije evolves around rough and bewitching sounds and textures, imagines wide sound spaces and paints rugged and dreamy soundscapes. The pieces are built like mini-games with versatile and exciting rules, invented on the go. The Melodies, often simple, are slowly deconstructed, leaving space to the three improvisers who always end up gathering together in a dancing and dislocated fusion. Enven when the saxophone and guitar wonder away from the melody, the drums always stay tethered to them, adding polyrythms to the groove, sometimes implicit but always powerful.
