Les Chiens de Faïence (the china dogs) is a french song band with only three topics : love, sex and dogs (the latter being a metaphore for the first two). The four characters are musicians, singers, dogs and humans, and those roles get mixed up to create a mixture of voices, instruments, barking that unite together with one goal : tenderness. In the cosiness of a rococo lougne lost in the middle of the night, the tame light of the lamposts outside, gently pierces through the louvred shutters.
As melancholy addicts, they’ll use any excuse to get a tear out of their audience. It floods the stage, takes pleasure in pain just like Barbara would and poeticizes misfortune, turning it into a trendy thing.
