I’m a sound engineer and musician working as a live sound engineer, sound recorder & mixer and as a sound designer for theatre productions. I perform music mainly as a guitarist and singer, but also as a composer.
I studied music and sound techniques between the university of Paris-Est Marne-la-vallée (UPEM), near Paris, and the university of Newcastle-upon-Tyne (in Northumberland, UK), and then as part of the first class of a Musical Production Masters degree, partnership between the UPEM and the SAE Institute (in Aubervilliers, near Paris) learning from Patrick Thévenot, Pierre Jacquot, Philippe Labroue, Januibe Tejera, Martin Laliberté.
My early professional encounters led me to work with experimental and improvised musics, in particular at the National Center for Musical Creation - La Muse en Circuit, and to produce records made in non dedicated spaces, far from the studios. I also worked as a film post-producer and composed music for films in China. I then started working on theatre productions as a sound designer and to diversify the musics in which I get involved. Furhtermore, I work and participate in the organisation of festivals along with other various localy based projects in the Auverg,e Rhône-Alpes region in which I’ve been living for a few years.
This versatility and the various ways in which I practise sound are key to my relationship with sound. Today, I carry on learning and expanding my practice as I meet and collaborate with artists and sound engineers.
On this website you can find out about a number of artists, bands, ensembles, collectives, productions, theatre companies and festivals with which I’ve worked as well as my personal projects.
